West AlabamaWorks on Thursday hosted the last day of its eighth annual Worlds of Work career experience, giving high schoolers a chance to get hands-on and check out potential future jobs.
Several businesses set up at Shelton State Community College to interact with students and give them experience with how they do their jobs. The goal of the program is to put high school students on a career path that best fits them.
Wednesday’s kickoff hosted ninth graders and on Thursday 10th- through 12th-grade students were invited to attend the event.
