Origins

The Karamu feast on the sixth night (Dec. 31) highlights communal meals with one-pot stews such as gumbo, jollof rice and peanut stew, plus soul food like collards, black-eyed peas, macaroni and cheese and plantains. - Imani (Faith): Believe in people, parents, teachers, leaders and the righteousness of the struggle. [5]
