To meet the increasing demand for skilled professionals in the technology field, Edmonds College is now offering a new Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence and a technical certificate in Robotics in Manufacturing.
“Edmonds College is committed to preparing the next generation of innovators,” said Edmonds College President Amit B. Singh in a press release. “Our new ROBAI and Robotics in Manufacturing programs offer students the hands-on skills that are essential to employers in today’s technology and manufacturing sectors.”
ROBAI Bachelor’s Degree
The ROBAI program, based on the Edmonds College campus, is designed for those who have already earned an Associate in Applied Science-Transfer degree or an equivalent qualification in engineering technology, computer science, engineering, or related technical fields.
It’s been developed for working professionals. Courses are offered in a hybrid format, combining online learning with in-person, lab-based instruction. The curriculum is organized for part-time students — 10 credits per quarter over two years. To learn more or begin the application process, visit here.
Robotics in Manufacturing Certificate
The college’s Robotics in Manufacturing is a fast-track, eight-week professional technical-certificate program. It offers practical skills for quick career entry.
Students will complete four weeks of online learning before attending in-person labs at the Advanced Manufacturing Skills Center at Paine Field in Everett. They will learn how to maintain equipment, supervise production, or troubleshoot problems with automated systems, robots, and innovative machinery.
No prior technical background is necessary; students start with the fundamentals and gradually build their knowledge.
The program begins on Oct. 13, and registration is now open. Those interested in learning more are invited to attend an in-person information session tonight, Sept. 24, 27, or Oct. 2.
