BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Bethlehem Area School District announced the next Principal of Hanover Elementary School on Wednesday, pending Board approval at its upcoming meeting on Monday.
Ralph Andrews is currently serving as the Elementary Principal for both Parkside Education Center and S.S. Palmer Elementary School in the Palmerton Area School District, a position he has held since 2021, according to district officials.
During his tenure, he has been recognized for fostering strong school communities, advancing academic initiatives, and supporting both students and staff in meaningful ways, the press release says.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Andrews served as Assistant Principal at Roberto Clemente Charter School in Allentown, where he worked closely with middle school students and staff to create a supportive and inclusive educational environment, district officials say.
“We are excited to welcome Mr. Andrews to Hanover Elementary,” said Dr. Jack P. Silva, Superintendent of Schools. “His leadership experience, instructional expertise, and dedication to positive school culture make him an excellent fit for our BASD school community.”
Pending official Board approval, Mr. Andrews will assume his new role later this fall.
In March, the Bethlehem Area School District announced that Erin Hines, principal of Hanover Elementary School at the time, was placed on a leave of absence.
Hines was facing DUI charges, being four times the legal limit when she crashed into three parked cars in late March.
