LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A false claim of shots being fired at Liberty University on Saturday is being investigated, according to a university spokesperson.
The Liberty University Police Department responded to the Jerry Falwell Library after receiving a report of shots being fired.

The LU spokesperson says police quickly determined that the report was false, and no shots had been fired.
“The investigation into this matter is ongoing,” said LU. “Liberty University prioritizes the safety and security of our university community without exception.”
