LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Teachers in La Crosse are showing their support for public schools.
Wednesday morning, several Logan Middle School teachers participated in a walk in.
The goal was to highlight what could happen if the education department goes away.
Seventh grade teacher Jesse Martinez organized it.
“None of us want to be out here,” Martinez said. “But we know we have to be out here for our kids and for our families.”
Martinez says depending on what happens next regarding the U.S. Department of Education, there could be more walk ins.
