PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Board of Education voted 2-1 Monday to not renew the contract of Special Education Director Kara Small after almost five hours of testimony.
Board member Debbie Hendershot voted to renew the special education director’s contract with board member Judy Johnson and President Justin Raber voting no. Board member Randy Modesitt was absent from the hearing and member Ron Tice had to excuse himself due to prior obligations before a vote could be taken.
