BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Paige Williamson became the seventh member of the 1,000 career digs club, as the Albion College volleyball team was swept by No. 9 Millikin University. Needing just eight digs heading into the match, the sophomore tallied the exact amount in the first set to reach the milestone.
On the day, Williamson ended with 11 digs – a team-high. Joelle Boeskool’s 13 assists also led the Britons against a tough Millikin opponent. Albion’s offense was led by freshmen Kayda Herrick and Bri Whitfield. Whitfield’s six kills paced the Brits, as Herrick tallied five.
The Britons struggled to keep pace with the Big Blue, who attacked at a .352. On the flip side, Albion struggled offensively, turning in a .000.
Albion will wrap up their non-conference slate Saturday with games against Simpson and Illinois Wesleyan.
