William Woods University officials announced that their president will leave the school in January.
A press release from the school stated that Dr. Jeremy Moreland announced his resignation on Friday.
He became president in September 2021.
Board of Trustees Chair Romaine Seguin will serve as Acting President.
“Under Dr. Moreland’s leadership, William Woods has broken institutional records for enrollment, created new degree programs, and expanded the student experience,” said Seguin in the release from the school.
“We appreciate his many contributions in helping to move our university forward.”
The release from the school stated that they would start a national search to find a new president.
