WISCONSIN RAPIDS – William Oswald has been hired as principal of Woodside Elementary School, Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools announced Monday evening.

Oswald most recently served six years as associate principal of Wisconsin Rapids Area Middle School, according to the district Facebook post announcing the hire. He has previous experience teaching at the elementary and middle school levels. He has also served as summer school principal for WRPS.
Previous Woodside principal, Julie Kolarik, was hired as assistant director of pupil services for the district earlier this year.
Oswald will begin his duties at Woodside this week.
Oswald said he is excited to begin at Woodside and is looking forward to making connections with students and families, according to the Facebook post.
