Wiley University has announced the campus will be hosting a Culture, History, and the Art of Quilting event in partnership with The Arts Alliance, LLC in October.
The Culture, History and the Art of Quilting event will feature Master Quilter Sherry Shine in a special presentation. Wiley University took to social media to welcome the community to attend, calling the event an unforgettable experience that is open to the public.
“Join us as Master Quilter Sherry Shine shares her journey and the rich history of quilting, with her celebrated quilts exhibited nationwide,” read the announcement from Wiley University.
The event will include a meet and greet opportunity as well as hors d’oeuvres for those in attendance.
The Culture, History, and the Art of Quilting event will be held on Oct. 12 at the Fred T. Long Student Union Building Ballroom on campus at Wiley University. The event kicks off at 10 a.m. with a special presentation beginning at 1 p.m. Tickets will be $25 to attend.
