Donald Trump foresees love on the horizon for a pair of NASA astronauts who have been stuck in space for months.
During a press conference from the Oval Office Thursday, the president addressed Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore’s plight, which has seen them stranded on the International Space Station for the better part of a year.
“We’re coming up to get you,” Trump said while looking above, sending a message to the pair. “I’ve authorized Elon [Musk], I said ‘Can you get them out?’ because you know they’ve been left up there—I hope they like each other… maybe they’ll love each other, I don’t know,” he continued, earning laughs from the room as he grinned ear to ear.

“But they’ve been left up there, think of it, and I see the woman with the wild hair, a good solid head of hair she’s got. No kidding, no games with her hair,” the president added, seemingly referring to Williams.
Wilmore and Williams initially embarked for the ISS in June on a Boeing Starliner. What was supposed to be an eight-day mission has turned into a nine-month nightmare after their spacecraft suffered from numerous technical issues, which prompted NASA to deem it too risky to bring the astronauts back home.
Musk’s SpaceX has now intervened and is set to bring back Wilmore and Williams to Earth aboard its Crew-9 return flight on either March 19 or 20.
It’s not the first time Trump has shared his pearls of wisdom when it comes to love and dating.
Last summer, a resurfaced 2013 clip of Trump giving relationship advice on The Wendy Williams Show went viral online as many pointed out how good the president was at the task. In one instance, a guest disclosed that her boyfriend of 12 years thought she was having an affair, prompting Trump to note that “if he has that now in the back of his mind then it could be trouble.”
He also smartly asked why he was still a boyfriend and not a husband.
