Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has announced a new career move with his brother Jason that’s starting now.
Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is still in the midst of making a decision about whether he’ll retire and called the 2025-26 season his very last in the NFL, but in the meantime, he’s dropping some hints by making other business moves.
Kelce, of course, closed out his final game with the Chiefs on Sunday, January 4, with a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, with a 14-12 final score. That coupled with the Kansas City Chiefs not making the playoffs is not the way Kelce wants to go out, but timing is everything, so whatever he decides will be the right move for him, regardless if he leave after a down season for the Chiefs.
After the Chiefs lost 14-12 to the Las Vegas Raiders, Kelce responded to retirement questions, telling reporters, “Who knows? It either hits me quick or I’ve got to take some time. Last year, it was a little bit easier. I think I knew right away, I wanted to give this [year] a shot. We’ll see.”
So, what will be keeping him busy in the meantime? It’s yet another endeavor with him and his brother, Jason.

On the Wednesday, January 14, episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Travis and his brother Jason announced that they’re releasing their debut book together, called “No Dumb Questions: And All of Our Dumbest Answers.” The book is inspired by their podcast and its popular “No Dumb Questions” segment, where the two respond to fan submissions.
“When we started the ‘No Dumb Questions’ segment on New Heights, never in our wildest dreams did we think it would become a book sitting on your coffee table,” the brothers said via People. “But we’ve had a blast with it, and we’re stoked the 92%ers can take home a little piece of the podcast, including some that were too ridiculous to make it on the show.”
The two also shared with People magazine that they’re “still trying to wrap their heads around being able to call ourselves published authors.”
Well, Travis and Jason have done a lot of things, so adding “author” to their job title doesn’t seem like a stretch. Even this writer has books out, so it’s something that many people do. Chances are, it will be another homerun for the Kelce brothers.
Another Milestone for Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs
Following the end of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that Kelce has achieved the most points in Chiefs history by a non-kicker. He hit 522 points during the 2025-26 season. The team also announced that Kelce is the first-ever three-time winner of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Charity Challenge presented by Nationwide.
“This honor adds a $35k donation to Trav’s charity of choice, Operation Breakthrough,” the team stated. “Thank you Chiefs Kingdom, and congrats.”
So, even though the Chiefs are closing their 2025-26 run without a trip to the postseason, Kelce continued to clock strong numbers with the team. He wrapped the season with 76 receptions, 851 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 17 games, according to NFL research.
