It’s not possible to buy Tom Brady‘s DNA to become the greatest of all time. But soon, thanks to Sotheby’s, it will be possible to own a little piece of the legendary NFL quarterback.
Brady and Sotheby’s are teaming on The GOAT Collection: watches and treasures from Tom Brady. Brady, who won seven Super Bowls while playing in the NFL, says some of the pieces represent “unforgettable moments” throughout his time in the league and beyond. “I’ve been so fortunate to have such an amazing journey in my career, and these watches and collectibles really capture those unforgettable moments and all the hard work behind them,” Brady said in a statement. “I’m excited to give fans and collectors a chance to own and cherish these special pieces from my journey just like I have. I hope they bring as much joy and inspiration to fans as they did for me.”
Included in the single owner lot will be items like a Tampa Bay Buccaneers helmet, the jersey he wore during his final game at the University of Michigan, a wristband worn during an epic comeback staged during Super Bowl LI on Feb. 5, 2017, when the New England Patriots rallied from behind to defeat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28. In addition to pigskin memorabilia, Brady, a longtime timepiece aficionado, will offer up a set of some prized luxury watches by Patek Philippe, Rolex, IWC and a unique Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon, which was custom-made for Brady to wear during Netflix’s buzzy Greatest Roast of All Time: The Roast of Tom Brady.
Sotheby’s revealed that highlights from the collection will go on tour with stops in Los Angeles, Miami and Dallas before ending up in New York where The Goat Collection will hit the auction blocks Dec. 10. See featured items below.
