(La Porte County, IN) – Three area students have been awarded full rides to college through the Lilly Foundation.
Lupita Osornio-Luna, from La Crosse, attends Tri Township Jr./Sr. High School where she is President of the National Honor Society and Student Council Treasurer, among other leadership roles. She was selected recently as keynote speaker at Hoosier Girls State.
Madeleine McCarther, of La Porte, attends Marquette High School. She is a two-time recipient of the Presidential Service Award, having completed over 200 service hours through her volunteer work. She was also a top-five “Outstanding Girl” finalist at Hoosier Girls State.
These students were chosen by Unity Foundation of La Porte County.
A third student earned a Lilly Scholarship through St. Joseph County. CeCelia Walls is a New Prairie student who will be attending the University of Notre Dame.
All three students will receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship with a book stipend for the Indiana college or university of their choice.
