SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — A new career exploration event for all Sun Prairie eighth-grade students is taking place in February, allowing students to gain exposure to a variety of career paths.
This event, slated for Feb. 18, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Angell Park Pavilion, is in collaboration with the City of Sun Prairie’s Economic Development Department and the Sun Prairie Area School District.
A variety of careers will be showcased, ranging from technical fields to public-sector roles, skilled trades, and more. This will help students understand the many career opportunities that become available after graduation.
Due to space limitations, 21 businesses can participate, with each being able to feature up to three different positions at the event. Representatives are encouraged to wear their typical work attire.
The businesses that have signed up include:
- Sun Prairie Emergency Services (police, fire, EMS)
- Sun Prairie Utilities
- Cru Concrete
- MSA Professional Services
- Mid-West Family Madison
- Canadian Pacific Railway
- Royle Printing
