South Louisiana Community College is gearing up for a series of career-focused events this fall aimed at helping students, alumni and the broader community prepare for success in the workforce.
Hosted by SoLAcc’s Career Services, the events will provide networking opportunities, professional development and career exploration across various fields.
“These events are an incredible opportunity for our students, alumni and community members to meet face-to-face with employers and access valuable resources for their career journeys,” Toni Celestine, director of Career & Testing Services at SoLAcc, said. “We are dedicated to supporting our students as they prepare for the workforce and to connecting local talent with businesses across Acadiana.”

Nursing & Allied Health Career Fair
- Date: Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025
- Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Location: Devalcourt Auditorium, 320 Devalcourt St., Lafayette
- Students and community members interested in Nursing and Allied Health will have the chance to meet healthcare employers, explore job opportunities, and gain insights into career development in these high-demand fields.
BITS & STEM Career Fair
- Date: Tuesday, October 7, 2025
- Time: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
- Location: Devalcourt Auditorium, 320 Devalcourt St., Lafayette
- This fair focuses on Business, IT, Technical Studies (BITS), and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields, including Automotive, Electrician, Electronics, HVAC, IT and Welding. Attendees can connect with industry leaders and explore career paths in these growing industries.
Liberal Arts & Humanities Career Fair
- Date: Thursday, November 13, 2025
- Time: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
