Schroeder ended the fall slate with her second runner-up finish in three tournaments played with a 1-under 209 score at the Evie Odom Invitational. She earned her fifth round in the 60s on the final day of play to be one of eight Ospreys in program history with five or more rounds in the 60s.
The redshirt junior joins Christin Eisenbeiss (9), Teresa Conroy (4) and Emelie Alpe (4) as the only players in program history to be awarded four or more ASUN weekly awards in their careers.
It’s the second time that the fall season ended with Schroeder winning ASUN Golfer of the Week. It’s also the third time an Osprey has secured two conference weekly honors before the spring season following Alpe in fall 2015 and herself last fall.
“It was a nice week for Kaitlyn [Schroeder] to finish the fall season,” Director of Golf Scott Schroeder said. “Two second-place finishes in the fall is a really solid start to the season.”
Schroeder and the Ospreys will be back in action for the spring at the PDI Intercollegiate hosted by UCF from Jan. 25-27 in Orlando, Fla.
