Jack Wardynski is a news reporter for the California Democrat. He is a resident of Jefferson City and earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri in 2025. He was born and raised in Batavia, Illinois. He covered Missouri high school and collegiate sports for the Columbia Missourian from 2023 to 2024.Wardynski began his work with the Democrat in August 2025 as a reporter.
