Patna: BJP leader and deputy CM Samrat Choudhary on Saturday made a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the opposition’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’.He said no genuine voter of the country and Bihar will be left out of the electoral rolls, but all infiltrators will be sent back to Bangladesh after Sept 30, the date fixed by the Election Commission to release the final voter list of Bihar.Addressing the NDA workers’ conference at Kodha in Katihar district, Samrat referred to Rahul’s visit to the district and meeting makhana farmers during his yatra recently. He said the Congress leader lacks any knowledge about Indian “sanskar” and knows only the culture of Italy.“In India, no one wears socks to enter a makhana pond,” he said and added that Congress and RJD chief Lalu Prasad never wanted a quota for dalits or extremely backward castes in Bihar. “It was CM Nitish Kumar who introduced a quota for the dalits and EBCs in panchayat elections after coming to power in Nov 2005,” he said. The deputy CM said the country under PM Narendra Modi is no longer a ‘golden bird’ but going to be a ‘golden lion’ in the world under the leadership of PM Modi. “But the opposition can’t see it,” said Samrat. He said the Centre is to reduce GST on food and other items used by the common people from 18% to 5% on certain items. He said Bihar is changing under the leadership of CM Nitish. “Reverse migration will take place soon in Bihar as the govt has brought new industrial policy with incentives like free land for investments above Rs 100 crore in order to generate jobs and employment in the state itself,” he added.
