The three-pillar Florida Workforce System Transformation Plan advances alignment and consolidation of local workforce development boards; requires system-wide improvements for enhanced customer consistency and better leveraging of public funds; and guides regional planning to support workforce system alignment with education and economic development and optimize opportunities for regional economic growth.

“We really focus through the CareerSource Florida network on making sure that all of the training programs are aligned with business need, and we work really closely with our education partners to do that. One of the key mechanisms we have to do that is through the Master Credential List. It ensures that we’re prioritizing credentials that employers say that they need, so by doing that, we’re ensuring that students, when they go and pick a training path or an education path, that they have the information to do so, and when they get a credential, it’s exactly what employers need.”
