R. J. Corman Railroad Co. announced Raymond Goss will retire as president, effective Jan. 30, 2026, following a career spanning five decades in the rail industry and seven years leading R. J. Corman’s short line and switching operations. Before joining R. J. Corman, Goss held leadership and operational roles at major railroads including Genesee & Wyoming Inc., Amtrak and Canadian Pacific. Under Goss’ leadership at R .J. Corman, the company expanded its network through strategic acquisitions and new operations, adding the Childersburg Line, Raleigh & Fayetteville Railroad, Knoxville & Cumberland Gap Railroad, as well as the Owego & Harford Railway, Lehigh Railway and Luzerne & Susquehanna Railway. He also championed transformative infrastructure improvements, securing federal grants to rehabilitate hundreds of miles of track, upgrade bridges and modernize grade crossings. “Ray has been an exceptional leader whose steady hand and deep industry knowledge have strengthened our short-line operations and elevated our service standards,” said R. J. Corman Railroad Group President and CEO Justin Broyles in a press release.
Regional Transportation District-Denver has hired Lili Tran to serve as chief people officer. Tran has more than 30 years of experience in human resources involving public service, public safety and nonprofit sectors in Denver and Colorado Springs. She will join RTD on Jan. 5, 2026. She fills the role following the departure of the agency’s previous CPO earlier this month, RTD officials said in a press release. “Our dedicated employees are the driving force behind our mission of making lives better through connections,” said Tran. “I am committed to equipping every member of our team with the resources, training and support necessary to advance that mission by providing safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation services that serve our communities across the Denver metro area.” Most recently, Tran served as chief of staff for Denver Rescue Mission and previously served as chief human resources officer for the Colorado Department of Human Service.
