Back in December 2024, fans remember when Pop Culture Jeopardy! premiered its first episode on Prime Video. Airing new installments every week for months, folks loved seeing Colin Jost emcee various teams of three as they’re tested on all things pop culture. The show quickly built up a loyal fanbase, and Pop Culture Jeopardy! even managed to snag a 2025 Emmy Awards nomination for Outstanding Game Show Host.
Well, it looks like fans have something to look forward to, thanks to a surprise Instagram announcement on October 16. Pop Culture Jeopardy! is officially returning for season 2 sometime in 2026, and fans can already apply online for the chance to be on the show. But in a surprising twist of events, Pop Culture Jeopardy! also revealed that season 2 will move from Amazon Prime Video to Netflix, its new streaming home.

While fans were absolutely thrilled about Pop Culture Jeopardy! returning for season 2, the surprise streaming twist had them curious about what had happened.
“Wait, it’s not going to be on prime anymore? 😢,” one person lamented in the comments. “Well how come we’re moving to Netflix? 😢,” another inquired.
As for the reason behind the unexpected TV move, Deadline reported that Pop Culture Jeopardy! moving to Netflix came as Amazon reworked its strategy for unscripted programs. What’s more, the outlet noted “a number of Amazon unscripted execs have moved over to Netflix,” which could have been part of the idea for the series also coming over to a new streaming site.
