The Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, along with the combined Tehachapi Symphonic Chorus under the direction of Sandy Adams, and the Antelope Valley Master Chorale under the direction of David Newby, presented its annual salute to the holidays Friday night.
Opening the evening’s performance was holiday music titled “Bells Of Christmas Medley” arranged by David Wise and David Shipps. Next was “A Festival of Carols, arranged by John Bolin and David Clydesdale.
After a brief intermission, Newby, along with the combined 50-voice choir, and the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, performed George Friderich Handel’s masterpiece “The Messiah.” Choir soloists were tenor Alan Chavez Garcia, bass singer Zeke Hinson, alto singer Audrey Nogales, soprano Marcia Lucas, soprano Carol Andersen and soprano Brianna Hernandez.
