FARMINGTON, Utah – After scoring and assisting on all four Vandal goals last week, graduate defender Alyssa Peters has been named Big Sky Co-Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
This marks the second weekly honor for Peters this season and the third for her career. The Bremerton, Washington native scored one goal and recorded three assists, etching her name in Big Sky history as the all-time leader in career assists in conference history with 28.
In the 3-2 victory over the Lumberjacks, Peters helped open the scoring in the 22nd minute on a free kick sent into the box to connect with Annika Farley for an Idaho goal. With the score tied at 1-1, Peters snuck a ball past the NAU keeper off a free-kick attempt to score the third goal of her career and give the Vandals the lead. Peters secured her second assist of the game and third of the week from yet another set piece, finding Sienna Gonzales to cap off a historic week.
Peters has been playing the best soccer of her career over the opening five conference matches, scoring twice and totaling six assists to help lead the Vandals to a 3-1-1 conference record and a tie for first in the Big Sky standings.

Peters and the Vandals will look to keep their unbeaten home streak alive, as they continue Big Sky action with a pair of games inside the P1FCU Kibbie Dome against Weber State (Oct. 18) and Idaho State (Oct. 20).
