Indiana is making changes to its preschool voucher program.
The Family and Social Services Administration says the “On My Way Pre-K” program will be capped at 2,500 students. for the upcoming school year.
More than 6,000 kids were enrolled in the program this last school year.
Agency officials say the change is due to new state laws and budget decisions.
Eligibility requirements are also changing.
Families must be at or below 140% of the federal poverty level.
A child will only qualify if their parent is working, in school or attending job training.
