Week 12’s Sunday game slate is nearly a wrap as the afternoon window closed out, leading up to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams on “Sunday Night Football.”
The afternoon window concluded with an NFC East showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys that came down to the wire with a 42-yard field goal from Brandon Aubrey. Philly had controlled this matchup over the past few years, having beaten Dallas in five of the last seven meetings, but a struggling run game helped to force the Cowboys ahead to improve to a 5-5-1 record.

Plenty of eyes were also on the Cleveland Browns in Week 12, as rookie Shedeur Sanders made his first career start against the Las Vegas Raiders in place of Dillon Gabriel, who was out with a concussion. Sanders became the first quarterback to win in his NFL debut for the Browns since 1997, throwing for 209 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception in Sunday’s 24-10 win.
Myles Garrett also continued his Defensive Player of the Year campaign with a three-sack outing, officially surpassing his previous career high of 16.0 back in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. He now has 18.0 sacks on the season and 13.0 over his past four games.

Tough break for WR Xavier Gipson, who fumbled on the punt return to be recovered by … longsnapper Trent Sieg?!?

The Jacksonville Jaguars got the ball to open up the overtime period, and it looked to be off to a promising start as Trevor Lawrence connected with Parker Washington for a 25-yard gain on his first pass attempt.
They didn’t do much else, though, settling for a 52-yard field goal attempt from Cam Little. It was good to take the lead.
The Cardinals now either need a field goal to tie it and keep the game alive or a touchdown to win it all.
