NEW YORK STATE (WENY) — In honor of Memorial Day, New York State is taking steps to expand access to affordable higher education for veterans. Beginning on July 1, veterans who have served at least four years on active duty will now qualify for full-tuition awards through the state’s Veterans Tuition Award Program. This expansion applies to all eligible veterans, regardless of whether they have combat experience.
