This holiday season, the Michigan Education Trust is offering shoppers a Black Friday deal to help build college savings.
From Nov. 29 through Dec. 2, the Michigan Education Trust, Michigan’s 529 prepaid tuition savings program, is offering a $50 bonus to new and existing customers, according to a news release Monday.
“With tuition prices rising, MET is a smart, practical gift for your family’s future and one that lasts a lifetime,” Diane Brewer, executive director of the Michigan Education Trust, is quoted saying in the news release.
The Michigan Education Trust allows purchasers to buy college credits at today’s prices.
According to the news release, for the Black Friday promotion, new customers can open a new Pay-As-You-Go MET account using the coupon code BLKFRI24 and make an initial credit hour payment to get the bonus. Existing customers, the release says, can claim the bonus by contributing $200 or more to an existing Pay-As-You-Go MET account during the promotional period.
“Black Friday is all about finding deals, and not just on electronics and new clothes. Education is a gift that never goes out of style, and this is one bargain you don’t want to miss,” Brewer is quoted saying in the release.
