Martha Stewart once shared some very strong opinions about Blake Lively and her now-defunct blog – titled Preserve – and she did not hold back.
The actress, now 37, launched the lifestyle blog in the summer of 2014, but unfortunately shuttered its doors only one year later in 2015.
Now, with Lively entangled in a contentious legal battle with It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni, users on TikTok are taking a look back at some of her old posts on the site.
The website was not only a place where readers could read about style, food and art, but they could also buy various products.
In fact, Vanity Fair once wrote that the items for sale were ‘all seemingly designed for a southern-themed bridal shower.’
The blog also caught some heat in October 2014, after an editorial was posted about the ‘allure’ of the Antebellum South.
When Lively decided to shut down the blog, she gave a long interview about it to Vogue, explaining that ‘it never caught up to its original mission.’
‘It’s not making a difference in people’s lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way,’ the Gossip Girl told the outlet at the time.

And, it looked like homemaking queen Martha Stewart agreed with Lively’s sentiments, as she told Us Weekly that sometimes, it’s just best to let a project go.
Of course, Lively’s Preserve had been compared to the likes of Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow.
And, as it turns out, the two were actually friends due to being neighbors.
‘I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I know she made a big effort,’ Stewart told the outlet at the time.
‘Sometimes shuttering is good. Listen, she’s a movie actress. Why bother with commerce right now?’ she continued.
‘She’s at the top of her career… I’m totally supportive, but you know what? Maybe you can’t do everything at the same time.’
About one year earlier, when Lively decided to start the website, Stewart urged people to give her and the lifestyle blog a chance.
‘Let her try,’ the Martha Stewart CBD founder told HuffPost in 2014.
‘Sometimes shuttering is good. Listen, she’s a movie actress. Why bother with commerce right now?’ she continued
During the interview, Stewart also said that the couple were ‘very friendly’ and ‘very nice’
‘I don’t mean that facetiously!’ she added with a laugh.
‘I mean, it’s stupid, she could be an actress! Why would you want to be me if you could be an actress? I just did a movie yesterday, though – I can’t even tell you about it – but I want to be Blake Lively.’
During the interview, Stewart also said that the couple were ‘very friendly’ and ‘very nice.’
However, in November, the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia founder threw a bit of shade at the Deadpool actor, as she claimed he wasn’t ‘so funny in real life.’
‘No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious,’ Stewart shared during an appearance on Bilt Rewards’ November Rent Free game show.
Her comment came just a few months before Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department on December 20.
She alleged that Baldoni entered her trailer while she was topless, showed her graphic video of his wife giving birth and bit and sucked on her lips during an improvised kissing scene.
She further accused him of conspiring to smear her reputation, citing a text message from Baldoni’s publicist Melissa Nathan which read: ‘We can bury anyone.’

Baldoni then sued the Times, claiming it failed to vet Lively’s sexual harassment and retaliation allegations and ‘relied almost entirely on Lively’s unverified and self-serving narrative, lifting it nearly verbatim while disregarding an abundance of evidence that contradicted her claims.’
The newspaper plans to ‘vigorously defend against the lawsuit,’ per its spokesman.
Next, Baldoni countersued Lively and Reynolds, turning the narrative on its head by claiming it was their team doing the smearing and asking for $400million in damages.
He accused her of twisting the meaning of his texts and emails and working in tandem with Leslie Sloane, a powerful Hollywood publicist, to plant damaging stories about him in the media.
