LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock-Cooper ISD Superintendent Keith Bryant has announced his plan to retire following the close of the 2024-25 school year.
Bryant has served as the 21st superintendent for the district for more than a decade. Bryant’s career in education spans over 33 years and joined Lubbock-Cooper in 2014.
During his tenure at Lubbock-Cooper, the district opened New Hope Academy, East Elementary School and Liberty High School.
Bryant also oversaw the Lubbock-Cooper through the passing of two bond campaigns, supervised rebuilds of two of the district’s schools along with improvements and additions to its high school.
“Thank you for allowing me the privilege of serving as your superintendent,” Bryant said in a statement. “It has been the honor of a lifetime to lead and learn alongside all of you. May God continue to bless each of you, and may God continue to bless Lubbock-Cooper ISD.”
The district will being its search for a new superintendent while Bryant will continue his role through the end of June 2025.
