LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — As winter weather approaches the Lowcountry, Tuesday and Wednesday have been declared Storm Tracker Days and local school districts are modifying their schedules. Check the list below to see what students and teachers might expect.
With frozen precipitation and bitter cold temperatures in the forecast, a Winter Storm Watch has been issued and will be in effect late Tuesday afternoon through noon, Wednesday. A Cold Weather Advisory is also in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

CHARLESTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
CCSD said that their schools will operate on a two-hour early release Tuesday, Jan. 21 and that all extracurriculars and after-school programs are cancelled. Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be an eLearning day for CCSD students, with all district schools and buildings closed.
BERKELEY COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
BCSD will operate on a half-day dismissal schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 21 while Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be an eLearning day.
DORCHESTER DISTRICT TWO
DD2 will release students early on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Elementary schools will release at 11 a.m., middle schools will release at 12 p.m., and high schools will release at 1 p.m. Students in the Leap Afterschool Program must be picked up by 2 p.m. and all other after school activities are cancelled. Wednesday, Jan. 22 will be an eLearning day, all after school activities are cancelled, and the LEAP Afterschool Program will be closed.
DORCHESTER DISTRICT FOUR
DD4 said Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Wednesday, Jan. 22 are both eLearning days.
WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
WCSD will operate on regular school hours Tuesday, Jan. 21 as of Monday, though all extracurricular activates are cancelled. There will be no school or eLearning Wednesday, Jan. 22 and all WCSD schools and offices will be closed.
COLLETON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Colleton County schools will release early on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The Early Childhood Center will release at 10:40 a.m., elementary school will release at 11:00 a.m., middle school will release at 12:15 p.m., and high school will release at 12:30 p.m. Offices and schools will be closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22, with a makeup day scheduled for Friday, Mar. 7.
ORANGEBURG COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
OCSD will have an early release schedule Tuesday, Jan. 21. OCSD elementary schools will release at 11 a.m., middle and some high schools will release at 11:30 a.m., and the remaining high schools will release at 12 p.m. noon. All athletic events and extracurriculars are postponed.
GEORGETOWN COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
GCSO will operate on a half-day schedule Tuesday, Jan. 21 with elementary schools releasing at 11 a.m., intermediate schools releasing at 11:15 a.m., and middle and high schools releasing at 12:15 p.m. All afterschool activities, including athletics, are canceled or postponed.
