Warren County Career Center students have a little better understanding of what type of education is needed for some local jobs after a recent downtown business tour.
The Warren County Chamber Business and Industry collaborated with the Warren County Career Center to provide career expertise from three local downtown businesses. Twenty-six students, by way of a walking tour, visited JC Warren Real Estate, Bough & Bend Floral and PlaidSky Advisors financial group.
Cathie Cummings, marketing educator at the Career Center, helped organize the program with Savannah Casey from WCCBI.
Cameron Bussoletti of JC Warren Real Estate shared information on entrepreneurship and the necessary skills for employability.
He answered questions about his background and emphasized that a college degree is not always needed in order to be successful. It’s all about learning skill sets even at an early age and having the persistence, determination and drive. The company has also made presentations in the classroom in the past but welcomed the in-person visit.
