WASHINGTON (7News) — A local business is helping women reinvent themselves and pivot to a new career for free this holiday season.
“600,000 Black women over 2025 have been sidelined by the economy,” said PR Pivot co-founder Niyah Brooks.
“Making a pivot does not mean you have failed. That means that you’re adapting,” said Brooks.

“For many of us who have been working on the corporate side for years, we’re used to promoting other organizations. This time, it’s all about reinvesting in ourselves and promoting our own businesses,” said Piviot PR client Tonya Paylor.
Black women in the DMV can apply to get media coaching a brand audit and strategy session and more through the business.
“Understanding specifically your skill sets, your expertise, but particularly your point of view, and how that can be offered to your community,” said Brooks.
