Lucknow: Emphasising that venous diseases are a neglected and emerging health concern, SGPGI’s division of surgery at the general hospital hosted a workshop on Friday. “Changes in lifestyle, obesity, indulgence in tobacco products, lack of exercise, and a stressful life are contributing factors. Some of the symptoms include leg pain and swelling in the early stages, and skin discolouration and venous ulcers in advanced stages,” said Brajesh Singh.
