BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — The Lake Eden Arts Festival, also known as LEAF, wraps up on Sunday, Oct. 18.
Last year’s festival was canceled due to Helene, but the event came back full force this year.
LEAF FESTIVAL RETURNS TO BLACK MOUNTAIN FOR ITS 30TH YEAR
The festival strives to connect cultures and create community through music, arts, and global education.
The festival also helps fund the Global Education Program in Asheville and Buncombe County Schools.
“Last time I checked, we were about 80% of the ticket sales for 6,000 tickets for this festival, but of course, today is Saturday, and we still have an amazing lineup for Sunday,” said Natascha Vanaalstleitner, Market and Engagement Coordinator at LEAF.
A few artists for Sunday’s show are Jonathan Scales and Valerie June.
“We have an amazing item, actually, we have this guitar being raffled off, and then we also have our members’ coffeehouse all morning long, it’s a showcase where only members can come. We have coffee mimosas, sweets, and treats, and you get this whole showcase of national, local, and global artists,” Vanaalstleitner said.
