ST. PAUL — State Rep. Ron Kresha, R-Little Falls, was appointed Monday, Nov. 25, to serve as the next Republican chair of the House Education Finance Committee.
Kresha was recently reelected to serve his seventh term representing District 10A in the state Legislature. Kresha currently serves as the GOP lead on the Education Finance Committee and has been a strong advocate for education issues.
“I am honored to get to serve my community and the people of Minnesota in this important role.” Kresha said in a news release. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to restore balance to our state’s education funding and supporting our students to build a successful future for Minnesota. Our students deserve access to high-quality education and we will do everything we can in the Education Finance Committee to support their success.”
Kresha brings first-hand classroom experience to the committee that will begin meeting in January when the 94th Minnesota Legislature is sworn into office.
