Fans and students of the purple and gold are gearing up for the new season with some brand new additions to the JMU bookstore from Lululemon and Rhoback.
Some JMU students were so desperate to get their hands on the new gear that they camped outside of the bookstore overnight.

The new gear was approved by students, faculty, fans and even Duke Dog himself. But that wasn’t the only big thing that happened on the JMU campus on Friday.
The grand opening of the brand new on campus residence hall, Potomac Hall, was celebrated by students, staff and members of the JMU community.
“The location is always great being in the village,” Dr. Tim Miller, Vice President of Student Affairs, said, “So everything about it students are excited, they love the experience so far and we have an amazing student staff in there as well.”
Miller says that the excitement across the campus is sure to carry over into the weekend as the Dukes open their season against Weber State in front of a sold out crowd inside of Bridgeforth Stadium.
“Everyone’s excited, 25,000 JMU fans are going to be here tomorrow, they’re gonna start coming in tonight,” Miller said, “it’s gonna be electric here on campus starting tonight all the way through tomorrow night’s game at 6:00.
