JESUP – On Tuesday, October 8, 14 students attended the Hawkeye Community College Ag Career Day hosted at the Hawkeye Community College Farm.
Students learned about the Natural Resources, Ag Business, Hospitality, and Animal Science departments. At each rotation, students learned more about each major.
Students worked to separate prairie seeds, count soybean residue, learn to make a menu, judge beef cattle, and feel the stomach contents of a fistulated steer. This was an excellent experience for students to learn all about the programs offered at Hawkeye.
