J.Lindeberg has hired its first golf lifestyle ambassadors: actress Kathryn Newton and content creator Mia Baker. Both women are golf enthusiasts and represent the “diverse personalities shaping the modern golf community and its future,” the company said.
The 27-year-old Newton, known for her roles as Louise Brooks in the CBS comedy series “Gary Unmarried,” Abigail Carlson in the HBO mystery drama series “Big Little Lies,” and Allie Pressman in the Netflix teen drama series “The Society,” has been golfing since she was a child. She has long been a fan of the J.Lindeberg brand and has attended many of the company’s events in the past.
“I’ve always loved J.Lindeberg — on and off the golf course,” Newton said. “Their designs feel as powerful, meticulous and dynamic as the game itself, and I couldn’t be more excited to officially join the family. Golf has always been a big part of my life, and now I get to share my passion for the sport and J.Lindeberg’s vision with even more people.”

The British-born Baker, 30, is a golfer, lifestyle ambassador and golf content creator who has a goal of making the sport more inclusive. As she said: “Golf is about style, mentality, community, personality, and opening doors for people to discover what makes the sport so special and unique. J.Lindeberg’s creative and intentional approach to sport and fashion inspires me, and I’m thrilled to represent a brand that shares my passion for innovation and inclusivity.”

She said that when she first took up golf in 2019, she struggled to find women’s golf clothing and faced “a multitude of physical barriers preventing me from getting into a new sport as a woman. As someone who strongly believes in equal opportunities and that everyone deserves the chance to have a go at something new regardless of age or gender, this soon drove my passion to connect fashion and golf, so that women and girls after me hopefully wouldn’t have to experience the same barriers that I did.”
Baker said she’s eager to work with J.Lindeberg to “elevate women in the sporting world by providing them with the confidence to feel their best, look their best, so they can play their best, no matter their level, amateur to pro.”
“When athletes are dressed in cool outfits, that also enables them to play their best game, it’s hard not to want to dress the same,” she continued. “Social media also has such a huge part to play. A lot of my inspiration in terms of game play comes from professionals, with a lot of my good friends playing on various tours, but a huge amount of my lifestyle, casual, amateur golf inspiration comes from social media and people I follow online. I think fashion is such an important part of getting people started in golf and sport, with content creators bridging the gap between professionals and amateurs.”
For her specifically, she said she seeks comfort in her wardrobe choices. “But I don’t think style needs to be compromised for comfort. For me it’s all about wearing the right materials. Getting the right fit. Styling the right colors. The best fashion brands will be able to do both.”
