“Our goal is to guide students through every step of their professional development journey, from starting a resume to securing that first job,” says Dr. Steven Poole, Director of Career Services and Professional Development at Northwood University. “We work closely with students to enhance their self-marketing skills, build their LinkedIn networks, develop effective internship/job search strategies, and prepare for interviews.”
Northwood University’s Career Services Center offers a range of events designed to prepare students for the workplace and connect them with employers. Upcoming events for the 2024-2025 school year include:
- Sept. 15: Suit-Up Event at JCPenney in Saginaw
- Sept. 18: Fall Career Fair at the Hach Student Life Center
- Oct. 16: Etiquette Dinner at The H Hotel
- Nov. 20: Internship Mixer at Dow Diamond
- Feb. 19: Spring Career Fair at the Hach Student Life Center
Additional events, including resume workshops, personal branding panels, and interview panels, will be added throughout the year.
