The Hot Topic: Public Health Programs & Policy in Challenging Times is the presentation on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Noon via Zoom. Experts in public health will give an overview of potential program adjustments that may happen under the current state and federal administrations as it impacts county public health in Pennsylvania and review the policy implications for public health in the short and longer term.
We are in âchallenging timesâ and public health systems are under stress. The presenters will explore strategies for sustaining and improving the public health system within Delaware County.

Lora Werner, MPH, Director Delaware County Department of Health
Rosemarie Halt will review the policy levers that are in play locally and nationally and how advocacy is critical to preserving public health infrastructure.
Lora Werner will cover the programmatic implications, including what may be cut or adjusted giving current funding and guidance.
