Harrison Global Holdings (NASDAQ:BLMZ) has announced plans to invest in and partner with Myth Korea Inc. to develop a pop culture lifestyle and experiential retail store in Busan, South Korea. The initiative builds on Harrison Global’s existing alliance with M-NEXT Holdings, which operates the Japanese trading card retail chain “Ryusei no Arashi”.

The company began due diligence in July 2025 on Myth Korea Inc. The planned store will combine character merchandise, trading cards, interactive events, and immersive entertainment experiences, creating a hybrid retail environment that merges digital content with in-person fan interactions. This expansion represents Harrison Global’s strategic move to grow its presence in South Korea while leveraging M-NEXT’s retail expertise.

Insights

Harrison Global’s South Korean expansion represents a strategic market entry leveraging proven retail models, though financial impact remains uncertain during due diligence phase.

Harrison Global’s initiative to enter the South Korean market through partnership with Myth Korea Inc. marks a calculated expansion of their entertainment ecosystem beyond Japan. This strategic move builds upon their existing alliance with M-NEXT Holdings, applying the successful “Ryusei no Arashi” experiential retail model to a new market in Busan.

The company is wisely leveraging M-NEXT’s established expertise in physical retail operations while contributing their own strengths in VTuber management, audio production, and content creation. This complementary skill-sharing approach increases the likelihood of successful market entry by adapting a proven Japanese retail concept for South Korean consumers.

This expansion represents a significant step in Harrison Global’s regional growth strategy, potentially creating new revenue streams through merchandise sales, event hosting, and expanded audience reach for their talent roster. The hybrid digital-physical retail concept aligns with current entertainment consumption trends, where fans seek immersive, interactive experiences beyond traditional retail.

However, it’s important to note that the partnership remains in the due diligence phase, with no disclosed financial terms, timeline for completion, or projected performance metrics. The success of this venture will depend on effective cultural adaptation of the Japanese retail model and building sufficient awareness among South Korean consumers to drive foot traffic and sales conversion in the planned Busan location.
