HONOLULU (Island News) — Pacific Business News awarded Moani Tolentino, manager of Hawaiian culture at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, the 2024 Pineapple Award.

The Pineapple Award recipients are chosen through a nomination process. An awards ceremony where the recipients were announced and celebrated was held in Honolulu on Sept. 12, 2024.
Tolentino oversees Grand Hyatt Kauai’s Ke Kumo O Hihinui Cultural Center. This immersive experience is designed to help travelers learn about native Hawaiian history and culture. She curates and leads most of the resort’s series of cultural activities like Hawaiian language classes, coconut basket weaving, kukui nut bracelet making and hula and ukelele demonstrations.
