Press release
Students, parents/guardians, and community members are warmly invited to take part in an evening of exploration and discovery at the Batavia Academy and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
This Open House and Career Fair will provide families with the chance to step inside classrooms, meet instructors, and experience firsthand the wide range of opportunities available to students. Visitors will be able to connect with local agencies and industry partners, gaining valuable insight into the supports and services that complement classroom learning.
The Batavia Academy offers students a supportive academic environment designed to help them reach their full potential. With small class sizes, individualized instruction, and access to social-emotional supports, the Academy helps students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and work toward their high school diploma in a setting tailored to their needs. Parents and guardians will have the opportunity to speak directly with Academy teachers and staff to learn more about the personalized approach that sets the program apart.
On the CTE side, the event will highlight the diverse career pathways available to students—whether their next step is entering the workforce, pursuing higher education, or developing specialized skills for in-demand industries. Programs in fields such as the trades, healthcare, technology, and culinary arts provide hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for real-world success.
Together, the Academy and CTE programs showcase the wide spectrum of opportunities that Genesee Valley BOCES provides—ensuring that every student, regardless of their path, has the resources and support to thrive in college, career, and life.
