FORT SMITH, Ark. — The Fort Smith Public Schools (FSPS) announced the passing of Ms. Angela Welsch, a beloved special education teacher at Euper Lane Elementary School.
The district said they were heartbroken to learn of Ms. Welsch’s death.
“Ms. Welsch has touched the lives of many students, families, and staff members throughout her many years at Euper Lane and with the Fort Smith Public Schools,” Euper Lane Principal Gina Mann said. “She was a vital team leader who always was willing to do what was best for our students. We will miss her greatly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.”
In recognition of Ms. Welsch’s profound impact on the Fort Smith community, the district has arranged for counselors, teachers, and Principal Mann to be available to support students and staff as they navigate this period of grief.
Funeral arrangements have not been made yet, but FSPS said they would share more details when appropriate.
“May Ms. Angela Welsch rest in peace and may her memory, forever, be a blessing,” the district wrote.
