Around 2,600 Elkhart County seventh graders made the annual trip to Career Quest.
The event was held at the Northern Indiana Event Center at the RV/MH Hall of Fame.
Career Quest features many different career paths that students can visit at various different booths set up at the event.
Sarah Koontz, the Director of CareerWise Elkhart County discussed the career types that students had the opportunity to interact with.
“Students get to explore four different sectors. We have healthcare, manufacturing, business operations, and construction” said Koontz.
These four different sectors make a statistical difference according to Koontz.
“We pre and post collect data and we’ve seen that through that our students do show that they’ve shown more interest in a pathway because of their experience” said Koontz.
One student spoke about what career interested them.
Henry Jeeves, a seventh grade student from Goshen that manufacturing interested him the most.
“Just putting things together in specific ways is fun” said Geeves.
