Education reform plans hit a snag. What’s next?

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Lawmakers and the governor agreed last year to reform the state’s education system.

Act 73 came in response to an increase of more than 40% in property taxes over the past five years, while the number of public school students in Vermont has significantly declined. The issue took up a lot of last year’s legislative session.

In this edition of 802 News, Mark Johnson spoke with Seven Days’ education reporter Alison Novak about where reform plans went off the rails.
