Woodridge board approves track renovations
CUYAHOGA FALLS — The Woodridge Local Schools Board of Education approved a contract for improvements at the Woodridge High School track during the Sept. 22 meeting.
Approved was a $217,782 agreement with Benyon Sports Surfaces, in conjunction with FieldTurf USA and Vasco for the renovation of the track through the Ohio Schools Council, the Ohio Council Educational Purchasing Consortia and the Associated Educational Purchasing Agencies.
Superintendent N’ecole Ast said the track is in need of a surface replacement and the district anticipates the work will be done next summer.
In other business, the board approved:
• the resignation of bus driver Jennifer McCann;
• the Safehouse Preparatory Service Agreement for the 2025-26 school year;
• the list of game helpers for the 2025-26 school year;
• the Day Treatment Purchase Service Agreement with Harbor Education Services LLC for the Leap Program for the 2025-26 school year; and
• swimming as an individual varsity sport at Woodridge High School for the 2025-26 school year.
