Edison State hosting Career Experience events
PIQUA — Edison State Community College will host monthly Career Experience events on the Piqua Campus beginning in October. Designed to showcase the College’s academic programs, these events provide hands-on experiences while connecting prospective students with comprehensive support services.
Guests can meet with representatives from admissions, financial aid, advising, career services, and specialty services, as well as take part in Pathway Experience Zones. These zones allow guests to explore the professional equipment in each program’s lab or classroom, work alongside faculty, meet current students, and connect with advisors. Examples include:
• Taking vital signs in Edison State’s nursing lab and exploring clinical rotations
• Solving an inventory mystery while exploring real-world accounting
• Programming and controlling robots to complete challenges
• Investigating evidence and discovering the science behind solving crimes
In the fall, Edison State will hold Career Experience events on the following dates and times:
• Thursday, Oct. 16, 2 to 6 p.m.
• Thursday, Nov. 20, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2 to 6 p.m.
